While billions have been poured into what we term ‘Physical AI 1.0,’ these incumbent solutions fail to scale. They can sometimes work in small scale or in highly controlled laboratory or structured settings, but they fail to generalize or maintain performance when deployed in the large-scale, complex, and constantly changing reality of a refinery, a construction site, or an airport. They approach hard limits imposed by the fundamental physics of sensing and the inherent limitations of passive data collection (the Resolution-Context trade-off). Instead of iterating on flawed digital and passive data, we have taken a completely new approach.
